First Class Sisterchicks
 On June 20, I, and a fantastic team of assistants, took a big step of faith. We opened an online shop that provides T-shirts, posters and other items connected to my novels. Our shop's grand opening was a stellar success, and we’ve received lots of encouraging emails. We have more items arriving this week that I want to tell you about but, first I just had to share a few emails (with permission from the customers, of course). This first one came from Carmen, a Sisterchick I met at a book signing in June at Beaverton Christian Supply. Her Sisterchicks® T-shirt brought a new Forever Friend into her life.
"Robin, I have to tell you what happened! The day my Sisterchicks T-shirt and tote bag arrived I was leaving on a trip, so I wore them to the Denver airport. A flight attendant saw the shirt and said, “Are you a Robin Jones Gunn fan?” I said, “YEEESS!” and told her I’d just met you. She asked what seat I was in, and I said, “22A.” The next thing I knew I was issued a new ticket for FIRST CLASS! In between her duties, we were able to talk about our favorite parts ofyour books and what lessons we learned. We found out we both grew up with Christy Miller, and we both cried when the last book came out. Now we’re definitely Sisterchicks! We’re keeping in touch, and since I live in Brazil, she’s hoping to fly there so we can have a Sisterchicks adventure. All this because of a T-shirt! I am so glad you opened your shop!"

“Robin, My friend, Kara and I met at summer camp when we were 5 and have been like sisters ever since. Another friend, Stacy, joined our trio and as soon as your Robin’s Nest Online Shop opened, Kara made sure the three of us had Sisterchicks T-shirts because we love your books. But it’s more than that. After many years of battling a horrible disease, Kara passed away on the 4th of July, just two weeks after we received the shirts. She asked to be buried in her Sisterchicks T-shirt because for the three of us Sisterchicks, the “forever” on the shirt really means forever. We know we’ll be together for eternity."

 This has to be our best giveaway yet! On August 15, for 24 hours an MP3 of the novel Summer Promise (abridged) will be available for FREE at Robin's Nest Online Shop. Yes, FREE! I did the recording of this book several years ago and have held onto the master while waiting for just the right moment to release it. This is the moment! I want to make the story available to as many people as possible, especially to those who don’t like to read but do like to listen to audiobooks. Please, oh please, let all your friends know about this 24-hour offer (midnight PDT Aug. 14 to midnight PDT Aug. 15). When this offer ends, the MP3 will still be available in the shop, but it will no longer be free.

 Did you hear the good news about the third Katie Weldon book? I learned last week that Coming Attractions is on the ECPA best-seller list! The book reached #18 in fiction and it's #47 overall.
